Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There's no daily quota and no cap on how many merges you run — the work happens on your device, so we have no server costs to ration. The free tier covers documents up to 20 pages; if your merged result is longer than that, Pro ($10/yr) unlocks unlimited pages. You'll always see this before you merge, never after your work is done.
Can I merge only some pages from each PDF?
Yes. Each file in your merge list has its own page range — take pages 1–3 of a cover letter, pages 2–5 of a report, and all of a scanned appendix. Drag the files into the order you want and the merged PDF follows it exactly. Your originals on disk stay untouched.
Are my files uploaded while merging?
No. The merge is computed entirely in your browser tab — Your file never leaves this tab. Two quick checks: add your PDFs, turn off Wi-Fi, and finish the merge anyway; or open DevTools → Network and watch it make zero requests with your documents. Can I compress or sign the merged PDF afterwards?
Yes, and this is where local-first really pays off. With upload-based tools, chaining means downloading the merged file and re-uploading it to a second tool.
