Real text editing, not a patch on top
Many online "editors" never touch your text at all — they float a white box with new type over the old words. The fonts don't match, the page looks patched, and the original text is still in the file. PDF Guard edits the text objects themselves.

Frequently asked questions
Does PDF Guard edit the actual text, or just add text on top?
It edits the actual text. Click a line, retype it, and PDF Guard updates the text object inside the file — keeping the original font, size, and color whenever the font is embedded. If a page is a scan (an image with no text layer), there is no text to edit, but you can still highlight, stamp, and add notes on top of it.
Can I edit Hebrew or other right-to-left text?
Yes. The editor handles Hebrew, Arabic, and other RTL scripts properly: the cursor, alignment, and mixed Hebrew–English lines behave the way you expect instead of coming out reversed — a common failure in PDF tools built only for Latin text.
Is there a page limit?
The free tier covers documents up to 20 pages — Free. No sign-up. No daily limits. For longer documents, Pro ($10/yr) removes the page limit entirely. You'll always see what's Pro before you start a file, never after your work is done.
Is it really local? How can I be sure?
Yes — the whole editor runs inside your browser tab. Two checks anyone can do: open a PDF, switch to airplane mode, and keep editing; or watch DevTools → Network while you type and see zero requests carrying your document. The green privacy pill in the corner tracks this live.
